Yes, another idea change...

Right... So... I think I've finally come up with an idea that I think would be really interesting and would have some solid key films for me to look at. I just watched 127 Hours (Directed by Danny Boyle) and was fascinated by the way the film only really focuses on one character (played by James Franco- never a bad thing!) and location the whole time yet still manages to be captivating and keep the audience interested. I particularly liked the interesting, trippy editing and camera angles but also the fact that there is more emphasis on the performance of the main actor...

Furthermore, I'm interested in looking at the psychological effects of solitude/isolation and how a lack of human contact impinges on the mind. (as well as a lack of food/ water and excruciating pain having one's arm trapped between a boulder and a canyon in the case of 127 Hours!)
I'm about to watch Buried and am also thinking of looking at Cast Away, Into the Wild and possibly even I am Legend... to focus on the theme of solitude and isolation in Single location films and how the directors keep the audiences' attentions despite there being only one main character/ location :)  xx
